Cool. I've seen about half of three different episodes. Perhaps I'll toss the series into Netflicks along with the rest of the universe. While I LOVE the sort of experience this show might have offered, I guess the overall manipulation of the story turned me off.

At the time I wasn't willing to commit myself emotionally to an experience that appeared to be so manipulated and contrived that the writers forcefully steered it away from its trajectory in order to prevent understanding. I believe in allowing a story to play out, but I got the impression that the writers were working too hard at obscuring what might normally be uncovered.

I agree with your point, overall. They wanted to create a myth around this saga and mysteries are important. Especially if future re branding and community building around the property equals profits. Obviously that last point is my own.

Thanks for the comment. I have heard other people say they watched the ending without seeing any other episodes, just so they could see what all the fuss was about.

I am still debating whether or not to buy the complete series on DVD!

Hi Jeff, great blog. I haven't been watching the show very much and tried to watch it this year. I watched the finale without watching the entire season, so I have more questions about the questions at this point, but I agree the ending was good, and I also agree it's good writing to leave some questions unanswered.

Great List Jeff!

I have a list of testing resources that I use on a regular basis for software testing and test automation. Links would be great, even if they are MAC based. ;-)

When you would like a Guest Blogger, let me know!
